LEOTARD CARE GUIDE
At Summit Leotards, every leotard is designed using premium performance fabrics chosen for comfort, movement and style. To help preserve the quality, fit and finish of your leotard, we recommend following the care advice below.
Our leotards are made for training and competition, however some fabrics and finishes are naturally more delicate and require extra care during wear, washing and storage.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LEOTARD
- Wash your leotard inside out.
- Use a cool, gentle wash with mild detergent only.
- Wash separately where possible.
- Do not leave the leotard soaking in water.
- Avoid fabric softeners and harsh cleaning products.
- Hang dry only.
- Do not tumble dry or place near direct heat.
PLEASE NOTE
- Over time, regular use and repeated washing may naturally soften colours, foils or specialty finishes.
- Metallic, hologram, mesh and foil fabrics are delicate by nature and should be treated with extra care.
- Contact with rough surfaces, Velcro, grips or equipment may cause wear to the fabric surface.
- Some sublimated fabrics can develop light surface piling in high-contact areas such as the seat or lower back due to friction during training. This is a natural characteristic of the fabric and not considered a fault.
- Leaving damp leotards inside bags for long periods may lead to colour transfer or fading.
- Products containing alcohol, including hairspray, deodorant, perfume and body sprays, may affect certain fabrics or finishes.
- Perspiration combined with deodorants can occasionally affect colour intensity, particularly on multi-coloured designs.
Following these care recommendations will help keep your Summit Leotards leotard looking competition ready for longer.
